Carolin Kebekus was born in Bergisch Gladbach on May 9, 1980. After graduating from the Heinrich Heine High School in Cologne, she completed an internship at the production company of the RTL comedy format "Freitag Nacht News" in 1999. Here she gained her first experience in front of the camera, was later accepted into the ensemble and was also part of the presenter team until the show was canceled in 2006. In 2009, Kebekus took over as host of the Pro7 sketch show "Broken Comedy" (until 2011) on Pro7. In 2011, her first solo stand-up comedy program "Pussy Terror" premiered.
On the big screen, Kebekus first appeared in 2011 in the supporting role of teacher Frau Goethe in "Hanni und Nanni 2." In addition to other smaller roles in children's films and comedies, she also worked as a voice actor on animated films. After controversies surrounding the pilot episode of the announced WDR show "Kebekus!" in 2013, Kebekus' own comedy show, "PussyTerror TV," was launched on WDR in 2015. After two years, the show moved to ARD, and in 2019 it was awarded the German Comedy Award. "The Carolin Kebekus Show" has been broadcast as a follow-up show since 2020 and received a prestigious Grimme Award in the entertainment category in 2021.
In 2022, Kebekus was part of the ensemble that adapted the successful TV format "Sketch History" for movie theaters with "Die Geschichte der Menschheit - leicht gekürzt."
Carolin Kebekus plays out her comedic talent primarily on the stages of TV shows or in front of live audiences and has won the German Comedy Award several times.
