Carlotta Weide was born on February 21, 2004 in Erfurt. She gained her first acting experience in the theater group at her elementary school and later at her high school. At the beginning of 2018, Weide was part of the ensemble of the boarding school series "Schloss Einstein", a daily soap for children and teenagers: until 2021, she portrayed the athletically talented individual fighter Cäcilia in four seasons of the series.
Also in 2018, in the 9th grade, she and three classmates produced the short film "Kurzes Leben" on the topic of bullying; at the "Kompass" competition of the Thuringian State Media Authorities, they received the special prize from the Thuringian State Chancellery for the best media production by children and young people.
After leaving "Schloss Einstein", Weide took on a leading role in the coming-of-age film "Morgen irgendwo am Meer", based on the novel by Adriana Popescu, which was shot for over a year with interruptions. At the same time, she also finished high school.
"Morgen irgendwo am Meer" premiered at the Bremen Film Festival in 2023 and won the Audience Award; further festival screenings and awards followed. The film was released theatrically in June 2024.
