Biography

Bozidar Kocevski was born in Štip, Macedonia, in 1989 and grew up in Heidelberg. From 2009 to 2013 he studied at the Berlin University of the Arts. During this time he had guest performances at several Berlin theatres, including the Maxim Gorki Theater, the Neuköllner Opera and the Deutsches Theater. From the 2012/13 season to the 2015/16 season he was an ensemble member of the Theater Freiburg. Since 2016 he has been a permanent ensemble member of the Deutsches Theater Berlin. In the play "Jeder Idiot hat eine Oma nur ich nicht" by cult director and gay activist Rosa von Praunheim he impersonated the author, who also directed it.   

Also in 2018 von Praunheim cast him in the leading role of his feature film "Darkroom": Based on a real case, Kocevski played a male nurse who flirts with other men in gay clubs in order to kill them with knockout drops and rob them. After its premiere at Filmfest Hamburg 2019, "Darkroom" was released in German cinemas at the beginning of 2020.
