Ask Hasselbalch, born in Denmark in 1979, graduated with a masters degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2010, the same year as he completed his studies in directing at the Super16 film school in Copenhagen. In 2013 he was one of 16 up-and-coming filmmakers from Scandinavia selected to participate in the Nordic Film Lab. His feature debut, "Antboy", premiered at Toronto in 2013 and has been
sold to more than 35 countries.
