Biography

Anca Androne was born in 1978 in Romania. By the year 2000, she completed her training at the National University of Theatre and Film Arts "Ion Luca Caragiale" in Bucharest and initially focused on a career in theater. In 2002, she played a leading role in Cristian Mungiu's tragicomedy "Occident" (RO 2002). What followed were mostly smaller supporting roles in a wide variety of film and television productions, including the French historical adventure "Jacquou le Croquant" (2007), the American-Romanian TV horror film "Anaconda: Offspring" (2008) alongside David Hasselhoff, and its sequel "Anacondas: Trail of Blood" (2009, without David Hasselhoff).

In 2021/22, Androne secured a recurring role in the Romanian television series "Adela," which was followed in 2023/24 by a regular role in the series "Lasa-ma, imi place! Camera 609."

Back in 2018, German director Franz Müller cast her as Eve in his quirky retelling of paradise, "Die Tagebücher von Adam und Eva" ("The Diaries of Adam and Eve"). The film premiered at the Munich Film Festival in 2023 and saw its wide release in German cinemas in early 2025.
