Biography

Alexandra Finder was born in Berlin on July 12 1977. After being a regular cast member of the daily soap "Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten", she studied at the renowned Berlin acting school "Ernst Busch" from 2000 until 2004. She then became a repertory player at the Hessische Staatstheaterin Wiesbaden. Since 2008, she has been working freelance and performed at the Deutsche Theater Berlin, the Markgrafentheater Erlangen, the Schaubühne Berlin, the Schauspiel Frankfurt und the Staatstheater Saarbrücken. Meanwhile, she also appeared on TV in dramas like "Blindes Vertrauen" /2005) and guest-starred in series like "Ein Fall für Zwei" and "Tatort".

Alexandra Finder made her debut in a feature film release in the German-Japanese thriller "Richard Sorge - Spion aus Leidenschaft" (2003). In 2006, she played the wife of author Rolf Dieter Brinkmann in Harald Bergmann's award-winning "Brinkmanns Zorn". The following year, she starred in the comedy "3 Girls" (AJ/RU) and the romantic drama "Wrong Number" (CH). Finder joined the ensemble cast of Christoph Hochhäusler's "Unter dir die Stadt" (2010, and was the female lead in "Antons Fest" (2013). She got rave reviews for herportrayal of an abused housewife and mother in Philip Gröning's domestic drama "Die Frau des Polizisten", which won the Special Prize of the Jury at the 2013 Venice International Film Festival and was released in Germany in March 2014.
