Biography

Adina Vetter, born on February 7, 1980 in Berlin, gained her first acting experience at P14, the youth theater of the Berlin Volksbühne. She made her big screen debut with a small appearance in Andreas Kleinert's "Wege in die Nacht" (1999), followed by small roles in "Zornige Küsse" with Jürgen Vogel and Kleinert's "Tatort" episode "Tödliche Liebe" (both 2000). Vetter successfully applied to the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst 'Ernst Busch' in Berlin, where she graduated in 2004. During this time, she appeared in a supporting role in the feature film "Nicht Fisch, nicht Fleisch" ("Neither Fish, Nor Fowl", 2002) and played Wendla in Ulrich Matthes' production of Wedekind's "Spring Awakening" (2003) at the Deutsches Theater Berlin. At the Berliner Ensemble, she appeared in Peter Zadek's production of "Peer Gynt" (2003/04).

After graduating, Vetter played Luise in Schiller's "Intrigue and Love" at the Hans-Otto-Theater in Potsdam. In the same year she got an engagement at the Burgtheater in Vienna. There she played, among other roles, the second young woman in Jon Fosse's "Sleep" (2006), Helena in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (2004-2009) and Cordelia in "King Lear" (2004-2009). During these years, she also took on very sporadic television roles, such as in an episode of "GSG 9 - Ihr Einsatz ist ihr Leben" (2007).

It was only after she joined the main cast of the black-humor Austrian series "Braunschlag" in 2012 that Vetter appeared in front of the camera again somewhat more frequently. In the TV crime thriller "Medcrimes – Nebenwirkung Mord" (AT 2013), she had a bigger role as the wife of the main character, a criminal investigator. In Marvin Kren's horror film "Blutgletscher" ("Blood Glacier", AT 2013) she played a reporter, and in the satirical Viennese society series "Vorstadtweiber" she was part of the main cast in the first two seasons (2015/2016).

At the same time, Vetter continued to appear on stage at the Vienna Burgtheater. Directed by Thomas Vinterberg, she appeared in 2011 in the production of "Die Kommune," which was partly improvized. At the Burgtheater, Vetter also worked with Nicolas Stemann, Michael Thalheimer and, most notably, Luc Bondy, in "War and Peace" (2011-2016), "Elektra" (2011-2016) and "Die Schutzbefohlenen" ("The Supplicants", 2011-2016), among others. In 2016, she left the Burgtheater.

In the next few years, she had guest roles in several (crime) series, such as "Der Alte" (2017), "Letzte Spur Berlin" (2018), "Nord Nord Mord" (2018) and "Bettys Diagnose" (2019). In the TV dramas "Mehr als Freunde" (2018) and its sequel "Am Ende des Sommers" (2018), Vetter had a leading role as a depressed family mother. In "Die Aldi-Brüder" (2018) about the brothers who founded the Aldi discounter chain she played Cäcilie "Cilly" Albrecht, the wife of Aldi Nord founder Theo Albrecht. In the crime thriller "Gefangen" (from the "Tatort" series), Vetter played a doctor at a psychiatric clinic whose head doctor is murdered.

Between 2019 and 2021, Adina Vetter portrait a pathologist in four episodes of the crime series "Erzgebirgskrimi." Also in 2019, she landed a lead role in the comedy series "Frau Jordan stellt gleich" as a town clerk (mayor from season 2); she appeared as a lawyer in several episodes of the series "Die Kanzlei" from 2019.

In 2022 Vetter played a leading cinema role in Hans-Christian Schmid's "Wir sind dann wohl die Angehörigen" ("We Are Next of Kin"), about the kidnapping of Hamburg publicist and patron Jan Philipp Reemtsma in 1996. In the film she plays Reemtsma's wife Ann Kathrin Scheerer.

Adina Vetter, who was married to actor Lucas Gregorowicz from 2013 to 2020, lives in Berlin.
