Cartographic film about the development of the March Offensive (Operation "Michael") from March 20th to March 30th, 1918, which advances 17 km before finally coming to a halt near the city of Amiens.
1st Intertitle: Territory occupied by the Germans. Distance: Cambrai-Amiens = 64 km. Picture: Map of the area Cambrai - Amiens - St. Quentin. The front line is marked with light and dark shades. In the upper left corner the dates are exchanged. The front line is thus updated on the map from March 20, 1918, to the evening of March 30, 1918.
2nd Intertitle/End insert: Result: Wedge-shaped breakthrough in the Anglo-French positions. Amiens and Compiegne threatened. Heavy enemy losses. By April 4, 90,000 prisoners, 1,300 cannons and vast quantities of military equipment captured.
