Summary
Study No. 7
One of 14 "Studies" produced by Oskar Fischinger between 1928 and 1932: a piece of music is translated into abstract animations, composed of thousands of individual charcoal drawings. For the production of these "Studies", Fischinger used an ingenious technique that allowed him to synchronise sequences of film exactly to the music. During performances, vinyl records would run perfectly in synch with the film. "Study No. 7" was synchronized to Brahms′ "Hungarian Dance No. 5".
