Film synopsis: In the 1930s, the "Kulturfilm", a usually non-fictional short preceding the feature film on a theatre bill, became a platform for Nazi propaganda. In his documentary, Hartmut Bitomsky analyses how seemingly harmless topics were used by the regime in order to subtly spread its ideology.

"Deutschlandbilder" was digitized by Stiftung Deutsche Kinemathek as part of the film heritage funding program "Förderprogramm Filmerbe" (FFE) in 2019.

filmportal.de, the central internet platform for German cinema and a department of DFF - Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum, documents the progress and results of "Förderprogramm Filmerbe", which is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, the German federal states and the German Federal Film Board. The first five minutes of feature-length films digitized with funding from the FFE are presented on filmportal.de to document the successful completion of the respective project.

Das Förderprogramm Filmerbe (FFE) von BKM, den Ländern und FFA stellt seit dem 1. Januar 2019 für den Zeitraum von zehn Jahren jährlich bis zu 10 Millionen Euro für die Digitalisierung von Kinofilmen zur Verfügung.
