Film synopsis: A dictatorship, somewhere in Latin America. At night at the train station in Santa Maria, Ossorio, a man in his forties and leader of a resistance group, arrives and is swept away in a mass of refugees and exhausted soldiers. He reaches a city under siege, and tries to find his former comrades and his lover. Soon he has to realize that things have changed: A brutal militia is terrorizing the population and even the most idealistic people are just trying to save their own lives.

"Diese Nacht" ("This Night") was digitized by FILM SHIFT GbR as part of the film heritage funding program "Förderprogramm Filmerbe" (FFE) in 2021.
