Film synopsis: In Klaus Wildenhahn's series of documentaries on cultural creation in the 1960s, "Harlem Theater" takes its place alongside works on dance and music. The film accompanies the African-American acting ensemble at the Lafayette Theater in Harlem shortly after the assassination of Martin Luther King. The rehearsals and the political activism in the society and the group are the focus of the observations.
