Was der Landsknecht sah

Looking back on the vast destruction and successful reconstruction of Heilbronn. The film uses the monument of the "Landsknecht" as an emblem for Heilbronn and presents archival images of ruins and rubble in sharp contrast to a contemporary peaceful cityscape. The rebuilding of Heilbronn was possible by hard work which is shown in a montage, where manual clearing work changes into modern industrial production.
