Film synopsis: German actor Andy Pauls returns from Rome to his hometown Munich. The only thing his deceased mother has left him is a cheap art print with a motive of the Bible: "The expulsion from Paradise". His sister Astrid persuades him to stay in Munich and try his luck there. So Andy begins to look for role offers and discovers an ailing film industry being absorbed by television. But then he starts to play the film of his own life, and finally an angel directs him back to the studios of Cinecittà.

"Die Vertreibung aus dem Paradies"  was digitized by DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum as part of the film heritage funding program "Förderprogramm Filmerbe" (FFE) in 2019.
