Film synopsis: Maria Mandelstam is a doctor and mother of a two-year-old child. She leaves her husband to start a new job in a clinic in Munich. What she has not told her husband is that she is pregnant with their second child and wants to raise it in a community of women, contrary to the traditional societal family image.

"Kampf um ein Kind" was digitized by belleville Verlag Michael Farin as part of the film heritage funding program "Förderprogramm Filmerbe" (FFE) in 2019.
