Biography
Born in Barcelona, she studied history and then began working in advertising with her commercials winning several awards. In 2000 she founded her own production company, Miss Wasabi. She garnered her first international success with "Things I Never Told You" (Panorama, 1996). Her film "Elegy" participated in the 2008 Competition. In 2009 she was a member of the International Jury, in 2011 her documentary "Listening to the Judge" screened in the Berlinale, as did her feature film "Yesterday Never Ends" in 2013. In 2015 she opened the Festival with her feature film "Nobody Wants the Night".
