Summary
Documentary essay film about Veronika Raila, an autistic poet with numerous disabilities. As a child, she was diagnosed with an IQ of zero, but her parents believed in their daughter despite all medical reservations. They were right as it turned out because while Veronika Raila cannot walk or talk, she is intelligent and has a great thirst for knowledge. In 2008, she started to study literature and theology and as an author she writes prose and poetry. The film portrays Raila by translating her experiences and perceptions into images. Her texts and thoughts are combined with images of daily observations, poetic shots of nature and sand animations by the artist Anne Loeper.
