Biography

Solomon Gordon was born in 2005 in Northampton, England. He had his first stage appearances in a musical production: He played the young Simba in "The Lion King" (2014) at the London Lyceum Theatre in 2014 and 2015. In 2016 he took part in a casting for the children's book adaptation "Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivführer" ("Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver") - and was cast by director Dennis Gansel in the title role of orphaned boy Jim Button. Before the theatrical release of the film, Gordon appeared on stage at the Palace Theatre in Watford, England, in Lorraine Hansberry's family drama "A Raisin in the Sun" in the winter season 2016/17.  

In March 2018 "Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivführer" was released in German cinemas. In the film's sequel "Jim Knopf und die Wilde 13" ("Jim Button and the Wild 13", 2020) Gordon also played the part of Jim Button.
