Produced by the DEFA Studio for Popular Science Films, this 1958 film presents a historical review of the events of the November Revolution of 1918 in Germany. The film's tendency is clear from its opening title: "When we commemorate the November Revolution of 1918, a time of heroic struggles of the German proletariat rises before us, a time of victory of the masses over militarism and war.
