Wenn die Glocke ertönt - Eine Fabriktor-Studie von Oskar Barnack

The factory gate of the Leitz company at two different times: 1953 and around 1915. The openning credits state "A factory gate study by Oskar Barnack. Revised and set to music by Paul Görnert". As in the famous film by the Lumière brothers, workers walk through the factory gate. The footage from 1953 show the high-rise building I, in front of which buses are waiting for the workers. The older footage taken by Oskar Barnack in "Arbeiter verlassen das Leitzwerk" were probably filmed in 1915 in front of the gate of the old optics building.
