Summary
Race
Ohio, 1934. When track and field coach Larry Snyder is introduced to the ambitious African American Jesse Owens, he realizes immediately that he is faced with an athlete of exceptional talent. They start working together and become a true dream team, celebrating victory after victory. A gold medal at the 1936 Olympics in Germany is supposed to be the crowning achievement of their careers. Although Owens, aware of the fact that the Nazis will use the event for their racist propaganda, has doubts, he decides to participate in the Games nevertheless – or perhaps for exactly that reason – and to make a statement by breaking records.
