Summary
From Hell to Hell
In the turmoil of the Second World War, a Jewish mother is about to be deported to a concentration camp and is forced to give her daughter to a childless Polish neighbour to save her from death. Unexpectedly, the mother survives the camp and returns to her home town.
When she tries to get her child back, the other woman refuses to give her the girl. An embittered battle ensues between the natural and foster mothers for the seven year-old girl, and this leads to a terrible massacre where 42 people lose their lives ... The film is based on true events which took place on 4 July 1946 in Kielce, Poland.
