Summary
Documentary about several artists and intellectuals who through their work or political stance in the 1970s were at times considered to be supportive of the Red Army Faction's terrorist activities. In his highly personal film, director Felix Moeller interviews his mother Margarethe von Trotta and his stepfather Volker Schlöndorff. He also talks with other prominent intellectuals, artists and musicians, including Marius Müller-Westernhagen, Karl-Heinz Dellwo, Daniel Cohn-Bendit, Peter Schneider, René Böll and Christof Wackernagel. They all are part of the generation "Deutscher Herbst", and positioned themselves directly or indirectly in the heated political climate of that time.
