Summary

Sometime in the near future: Europe is a bleak desert, its cities lie in ruins, and life is desolate. Civilization has proven itself to be a blind alley. Inga inherits a gas station at the end of the world that is located alongside a highway that has never been built. Nevertheless, the administration still tries to control the people over the ubiquitous cable network and to prevent them from leaving the country. Inga together with the leaseholder Kuballa and his girlfriend Tana turns the gas station into hub for people who want to reach the last harbor and to escape to the South by ship. But then, Alex turns up with his girlfriend. The same Alex, who once fed subversive programs into the cable network and who had left Inga one year ago…
