Summary
Documentary about the unknown and unjustly marginalized female musicians and singers of the rock and roll scene. Starting with the fact that women were rocking the stages as early as the 1950s, the filmmakers meet women who have dedicated their lives to rock music, including Linda Gail Lewis, Kathy Valentine, Suzi Quatro and Rosie Flores. They range from African-American punk rocker Honeychild Coleman to alternative rock legend Kristin Hersh of the Throwing Muses. They all talk about how they were able to make it as women in the male-dominated rock music scene.
