Summary
The first film ever shot in Frankfurt shows the arrival of Emperor William II at Opernplatz for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the German-French peace treaty which was signed at "Hotel zum Schwan". The film consists of only one shot: The camera is standing alongside of a tribune, the committee members are waiting for the Emperor, the preparers arrive, then the imperial carriage. The Emperor alights, gives a military salute and is surrounded by the celebratory committee. The film was shot on May 5, 1986 and was probably shown at the Berlin trade show in June.
