Plutonium

BR Deutschland 1977/1978 TV-Spielfilm

Summary

"Plutonium" is a fictional documentary drama about missing highly enriched fissile material. From a nuclear facility in a totalitarian state somewhere in South America, 50 kilograms of plutonium are stolen, enough for four to five Hiroshima-sized bombs. Anna Ferroli, a television journalist for a private network in the US, sets out to track down the perpetrators and investigate the background to this international scandal. She enters restricted areas and makes contact with a subversive terrorist group believed to be in possession of the plutonium. But the culprits are much higher up.
