Summary
Ooops! Noah's gone...
The land-based Nestrians Dave and his son Finny (10) have made it on to Noah’s Ark with the help of a mother grymp and her daughter Leah. But when the ark floats away, Finny and Leah accidentally fall off. For the two kids, it’s the start of an adventure where Finny makes new friends, eludes crafty enemies, and learns something very important about himself that will save his life and that of his father.
With the Earth about to be engulfed by a flood, the land-based Nestrians Dave and his son Finny (10) head for Noah's ark – but are turned away. Determined to make it onto the ship, they enlist the aid of two carnivore Grymps, Hazel and her daughter Leah. Though they all make it onto the ark, Finny and Leah fall off as the ark sails away. The two kids run into many strange creatures who are ready to join them or eat them. While Leah is a born huntress, Finny prefers to negotiate and emerges as a brave hero.
Just when it looks like they're going to drown, Finny and Leah find refuge on a melting ice floe. Their parents, meanwhile, try to take control of the ark to save their children. But then the ark rams the floe, and Finny falls into the water. Since Nestrians can't swim, Dave shouldn't jump in to save Finny, but he selflessly does. Then something unbelievable happens: the Nestrians don't drown – water is their home! After saving Leah, Finny and his dad still have to cope with a couple of nasty raptors and other soon-to-be-extinct creatures...
It's the classical, beloved, timeless biblical story of Noah's Ark. This time, though, it's not about the winners, but the losers, who are often a lot more fun than those on the right side of the evolutionary fence. This is the story of Nestrians, Grymps and Griffins – animals that never existed. In this "what if?" animated film for youngsters, premium animation technology brings these endearing, brightly colored fantasy creatures to life with a love of detail and originality.
