Summary

This short film advertises the eighth or ninth German war bond. Under the pressure of the financial shortage in the late phase of the First World War, Viktoria, the crowning figure of the Berlin Victory Column, turns to the German Michel with a request for money. The Michel travels throughout Germany, successfully collecting donations from enthusiastic citizens at important sites of national history such as Weimar and Leipzig.
