Summary
"My Hungary in Berlin" ("Mein Ungarn in Berlin") outlines the personal portrait of an uncommon family between Hungary and Germany, between East and West. Scriptwriter and director Rita Lengyel follows her grandparents, her mother, her uncle, and her friends from the Berlin music band RotFront through the past and present. The film catches different perspectives of Hungary, Budapest and the mutual chosen home, Berlin. Rita Lengyel’s family kaleidoscope becomes her own search for identity as she collects memories and visions that create a European snapshot in time.
