Kriegerin des Lichts

Summary

"Kriegerin des Lichts" ("Warrior of Light") is a documentary film about Yvonne Bezerra de Mello and her work with children living on the streets of Rio de Janeiro. De Mello grew up in an affluent family and is an internationally renowned human rights activist and artist. Now, she is fighting for the children′s rights on a social as well as on a political level. Although she repeatedly got into conflict with the elitist upper class in her country (although she belongs to that group herself), she unflinchingly sticks to her project "Projeto Uere" ("Project Children of Light").
