Summary
Jonah and the Vicarious Nature of Homesickness
One day Jonah (Jens Winter) left his family. He gave no explanation and no goodbye – only a telephone number that redirected to an answering machine. High above earth in his homemade spaceship, Jonah records his family’s messages via a tin-can-phone. Drifting deeper into the abyss, his connections to time, reality and home are all falling prey to the vacuum of space. Is it too late for Jonah? Only home can save him now. But in an environment without inertia, homesickness must be vicariously enjoyed.
