Summary
"Gurbet" – which in Turkish means something like “far away” – has become a second home for many migrants in Germany. Using the example of a 1980s urban planning project in Kreuzberg, "Gurbet is a Home Now" shows the effects of the West German building policy on migrants – to this day.
