Summary
In 1989/1990, artist Jürgen Böttcher, who also used the moniker "Strawalde" as a painter in the GDR, captured his very personal impressions of the last days of the Berlin Wall. He shows famous sites like Potsdamer Platz, the Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate, but also derelict underground stations. In the moment of its destruction, he uses the wall as a projection screen for historical film snippets, which date from Imperial Germany over the Nazi regime up to the separation of West and East Germany.
