Summary

Horst Wolter lives with his wife Karin and their three children Sabine, Frank and Judith in a detached house on the outskirts of a city. The last ten years have seen them living in neighbourly friendship with the Grabowskis. On the evening of the 10th anniversary of living next door to each other, the Wolters and Grabowskis hold a party during which the adults squabble over a ridiculous trifle. One might think that it would all be forgotten by the next day. But Juergen Grabowski′s pride has been hurt. The friendship is brought to an end and a veritable war of neighbours breaks out where the squabblers fight one another with every imaginable dirty trick possible. The more the parents feud, the better the two eldest children Sabine and Karsten get to know each other. They try to keep their love affair secret from their parents, but this doesn′t work for long...
