Summary

Fiete and Amiri head to the North Sea to clear out Fiete's parents' old holiday home. Fiete also hopes the trip will help mend his troubled relationship with Amiri. But when he unexpectedly runs into his childhood friend Luca, the past catches up with him. The two were once inseparable, until a car accident that killed a mutual friend tore them apart. Luca was behind the wheel that night, but to this day he blames Fiete. Now Fiete finds himself torn between his old world with Luca and his new life with Amiri — who increasingly feels pushed to the sidelines as different "bubbles" collide: personal, social, and political realities that challenge all three and expose deep rifts. When Luca's girlfriend Katja shows up, tensions finally boil over — and not only Fiete's old friendship, but also his relationship with Amiri, hangs in the balance.
