Summary
"800 Mal Einsam - Ein Tag mit dem Filmemacher Edgar Reitz" is a warm, yet formally radical film portrait in black and white and colour about Edgar Reitz in the encounter with a young filmmaker. In an exchange between generations, the co-signatory of the famous Oberhausen Manifesto and pioneer of "New German Cinema" meets a young female director. The film takes up questions ranging from the personal biography to the death of cinema and becomes a declaration of love for filmmaking itself - A tribute to cinema, to German cinematic art, to failure and love. And to Edgar Reitz.
