Wigald has gone through the difficult childhood of a boy who grew up as the son of a millionaire, all alone in a 30-room villa. It is no surprise then, given this inhospitable environment and the absence of a true mother's love, that he has turned into a little misogynist.

A good thing that there is Volker, his friend and therapist. He loves women. For the time being, though, Volker is without a roof over his head. So, he becomes a gardener and moves in with Wigald. Right away, he can put to good use the roses that he accidentally mangles when mowing the lawn: Wigald's mother, who always took the saying literally that money comforts, has choked on a ten Mark note. Genuine grief only hits Wigald when aunt Margot reveals the contents of the will on behalf of the deceased mother: he will inherit only on the condition that he at last proves his business acumen and resurrects a completely dilapidated petrol station ...
