Hen in a Boat

Little Johanna spends her holidays with her grandfather and her cousin Robert. Robert, in particular, seems strange to her at first - until he lets the girl in on his plan to explore a secret access to the sea using their grandfather's boat. In the middle of the night Johanna and Robert set off together with Harald and his little brother Alex. The quartet also has an animal companion: a brown chicken from their grandfather's stable accompanies the children on a river cruise on the Weser. As soon as the grandfather discovers the disappearance of the gang, he immediately sets off to bring his protégés home. And so an adventurous chase between the smart kids and the clever grandfather begins...
