Ghetto
Vilnius, Lithuania in 1941. 22-year old Nazi officer Kittel is as interested in arts as he is cruel. He commands one of the largest Jewish ghettoes in Europe. When he finds out about a Jewish theatre group and the famous singer Haya that live in this ghetto, Kittel commands them to open up a theatre in the ghetto. Kittel grows very fond of his ensemble although the group is playing rather critical and subversive material. But when he receives the order to eradicate the ghetto before leaving Lithuania, Haya and her friends try to appeal to the Nazi henchman‘s conscience. However, unscrupulous Kittel, meanwhile is far more concerned about his rehabilitation after the war.
