Paris, in 1900. After being awarded with a gold medal for his painting "Philosophy" at the world expo, painter Gustav Klimt watches a movie at the reception′s formal dinner. He is deeply fascinated by the leading actress′s performance and wants to get to know her. At her patron′s palace, Klimt meets the woman′s body double as well as the actress herself and becomes entangled in an erotic triangle of truth, seduction and delusion.
