The Fan

A film that caused a scandal in the 1980s: 16-year-old Simone loves the pop star R and wants him all to herself. The boys in her class do nothing for her. She cherishes the illusion that R could love her back, she writes fanatical letters to him, follows him around and to a TV studio. There, she actually succeeds in drawing her idol's attention. In a vacant apartment they have loveless sex with each other and it is there that Simone realizes that she doesn't really mean anything to R. She kills him with a statue and then cuts him up with an electric knife. She keeps the individual parts in a freezer and eats them one by one. She then grinds and scatters the bones. At the end it turns out that she is pregnant.
