Die weiße Rose
The White Rose
The film tells the story of Sophie and Hans Scholl′s student′s resistance movement and its fight against the Nazi regime. From 1942 on, leaflets against Hitler are being distributed at Munich′s university.
Hans and Sophie are both students at the university of Munich. When Sophie accidentally discover that her brother and three of his friends initiated this protest, she is stricken with fear and tries to stop her brother from protesting against the regime. But Hans convinces her to join their group. They begin to distribute leaflets in several cities. That is why Gestapo assumes that there is a much larger organisation at work. But their collaboration with other resistance groups poses a great risk for their protest actions. Finally, they are denounced by the janitor of Munich′s university.
