Alibi für einen Engel
Three Dollar Son
After several years of selling fake ancient pottery to unsuspecting rich fools, Conny Engel stands before a hard-line judge. It looks like this time she′s going to jail. Till she begs for mercy, not for herself but for her poor fatherless child.
The judge agrees to give her a chance to convince social services that
she′s a good mother, and delays sentencing for a few weeks. Now all
Connie has to do is come up with a kid. The judge has problems of his
own. Since his wife died, he′s thrown himself even more into his work.
His angry 11-year-old son, Alex, has been acting out, taking people′s
cars apart, and will soon end up in a juvenile detention center. Connie
meets Alex outside the courthouse, and hires him to play her son, not
knowing she′s just hired the judge′s son. As they play at being mother
and son, they grow to love each other, and that love heals them all.
