Jimmy the Kid
Somewhere in the Ruhr region. The experienced burglar Dortmunder who′s getting on in years, his younger, modern girlfriend Charlie, the dreamer Kelp, the car expert Moersch and his ingenious taxi-driver mother are a gang of petty crooks,as likeable as they′re unsuccessful, who haven′t had a major heist for years.
That′s supposed to change at long last. When Kelp finds a book entitled Jimmy The Kid, he sees it as a sign from heaven: it depicts in a brilliant way the completely non-violent kidnapping of a little boy. Actually, nothing at all can go wrong.... However, the smaller problems begin when they start looking for the ideal boy, the bigger ones appear with the kidnapping itself: not only is Jenny Beckmann a girl, but she is also a genius whose IQ is way above that of her kidnappers.
