Teresa Rizos
Teresa Rizos was born in Munich on 12 July 1986. As a schoolgirl she took private acting lessons, learned the violoncello and piano and received classical singing training as well as elocution lessons. At the age of seven she began singing in the children's choir of the Bavarian State Opera; later she belonged to the opera's extra choir.
She also made her acting debut as a schoolgirl: from 2003 she appeared on stage in productions at the TheaterSpielhaus München. In 2005 she graduated from high school, and in 2006 she took part in a performance of the Youth Club of the Münchner Kammerspiele.
Rizos made her big screen debut in 2007 in the Uschi Obermaier biopic "Das wilde Leben" ("Eight Miles High"), with a small supporting role as a communard. In the same year, she took on the lead role of Carolin "Caro" Ertl in the TV series "Dahoam is Dahoam" - a part she played in over 100 episodes until 2012. She was then seen in the first (and only) season of the series "Der Cop und der Snob" in a leading role as a police trainee. At the same time, she recorded the song "Sommer - Dolieng und dramma" in Bavarian dialect in 2009.
Teresa Rizos played her first significant cinema role in the relationship comedy "Bocksprünge" (2014), as the lover of Benjamin Sadler's main character. At the Bad Hersfeld Festival, she appeared on stage as Samira in the "Comedy of Errors" directed by Dieter Wedel.
Mainly, however, Rizos appeared in several television plays and series. In "Rosamunde Pilcher - Lizenz zum Seitensprung" (2015) she played a leading role as the adult daughter of a married couple who want to revive their dormant relationship. She had supporting roles, among others, in "Mein Lover, sein Vater und ich!" (2013) and as the sister of the main character in "Ein Sommer im Allgäu" (2017). She also appeared in two episodes of "Der Komödienstadel" (2014 and 2017), a series of dialect theatre performances conceived for television. She took on series guest roles in "Die Rosenheim-Cops", "SOKO München" and "Der Bergdoktor", among others.
From 2018, Rizos also went on tour as a comedian with the solo programme "Selten schön auf". Between 2018 and 2021, she had a recurring role as an accountant in the drama series "Sankt Maik". In the six-part series "Spätzle arrabbiata - oder eine Hand wäscht die andere" (2021) she played a policewoman.
Teresa Rizos played a further leading role in cinema as Anna in "JGA: Jasmin. Gina. Anna." (2022), a comedy about three friends who experience a wild party night in Ibiza.
