Linus de Paoli
Linus de Paoli, was born in Hamburg in 1982. As a child, he already shot several shorts, and in 2004, he enrolled in the directors class at the dffb film school in Berlin. His short "The boy who wouldn't kill" (2009) about an adolescent living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland was screened at the Sitges International Film Festival and received an honourable mention by the jury. In 2010, he began production on his dffb graduation project "Dr. Ketel". Set in Berlin, the futuristic thriller tells the story of an illegal physician who is prosecuted by the authorities. The film premiered at the Oldenburg Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award. At the 2012 Moscow Film Festival, "Dr. Ketel" received the Russian Film Clubs Federation Award, and in summer 2013, the film was released theatrically in Germany.
Apart from his filmmaking career, Linus de Paoli also composes music for TV cartoons and his rock band Gordonstreet.
