...und abends in die Scala
Gloria del Castro is a successful star singer whose voice enchants the world. But no one has ever seen her face. Even the yellow press reporters have not managed to take a picture of the singer. Only her manager Spadolini knows the secret of his star: Gloria's real name is Yvette and she is the wife of the French family minister, who himself has no clue about his wife's double life. As a minister, he would never approve of his wife's career as a singer. When a marital crisis develops between the two, the manager hopes for a divorce so that Gloria can finally perform in public. Hastily, he signs a contract for her at Berlin's new "Scala", but the couple reconciles and Gloria will not consider a public appearance. The manager, in his distress, agrees to a risky deal: instead of the famous Gloria del Castro, a little-known parodist is to take over her performance under the star's name. As things have to happen, this leads to some complications...
