Already his graduation film, "Comfortably numb", earned Ari Folman the Award for Best Documentary Film at the Israeli Academy Awards. Since the early 1990s, the director and screenwriter has created numerous award-winning documentary and fiction films. After experimenting with animated sequences, he directed and produced the multiple award-winning animation feature "Waltz with Bashir" in 2008 about an Israeli soldier’s experiences in the Libanese civil war.
