Reichsautobahn

While working on "Deutschlandbilder (1983), Hartmut Bitomsky discovered a vast amount of Nazi film material dealing with the planning and construction of the German highway system in the 1030s. The found footage documentary "Reichsautobahn", analyses the material and discerns the different political and economical meanings, as well as the media-constructed mythology of the Autobahn.
